"Reflection on Glass"
Looking through a pile of (analogue) photographs that I took some 15 years ago, I came across a few pictures of a mountain that I had never seen before. The images were strange and new, with a bright palette and a seemingly impossible point of view.
They became familiar as I worked with them. The photo itself is an object that travels around quite differently from the image it captures. I found that what I looked at was also a surface, a site of reflection, and a reality to be seen. A double image. Reflection on Glass originates from those photographs. It is acrylic and oil paint on canvas.
